at Dragons At The Docks!
Dunk Your Boss is back again this year during the Dragons At The Docks event on Thursday, August 29th 2024.
At Dublin Simon Community we are excited to host the dunk tank once again!
While you are waiting to race or finished up racing for the day, why not Dunk Your Boss!
All funds raised will go directly to Dublin Simon Community.
- Your organisation should decide who they want to see get dunked. This year you can nominate one person who will be guaranteed to get into the dunk tank seat or create some healthy competition in your company and nominate 2 contenders to go head-to-head on the leaderboard. Let them battle it out for who can raise the most funds! In the head-to-head challenge, the person who raises the most funds ahead of the event then has the power to decide who will brave the tank, themselves or their opponent! If you do not want to be dunked, get your fundraising hat on and ensure your opponent is the target on the day!

On the day:
The dunking will begin at 2pm after the first race and will run until 6pm. Look out for the tank in the courtyard in front of Brew Dog at Capital Dock.
You will be given a time slot for your dunking. We will create a timetable for each person/company and will share with everyone ahead of the event. Each person will be in the hot seat for 15 minutes. We have a limited number of slots available so please come to the dunk tank at your assigned time! (A bit of flexibility will be required to coordinate with race times.)
Donations:
The contender that raises the most funds ahead of the event will have unlimited throws on the day. Your donors have paid their way to the top of the leader board and give free reign at the target!
For everyone else, we will be accepting €10 donations to throw 3 balls to try to Dunk Your Boss! Spread the word and get as many people down to the event to get involved!
All funds raised from Dragons At The Docks and Dunk Your Boss help Dublin Simon Community acquire and sustainably manage homes for people experiencing homelessness.
As a Tier 3 Approved Housing Body Dublin Simon Community are critical in the supply of affordable homes. We use donor funds and Government grants to acquire and sustain the homes. These are permanent homes to end homelessness for our clients.
Dragons At The Docks have changed the lives of people like Joe. Watch this video to learn about Joe’s journey out of homelessness. He has lived in one of Dublin Simon’s independent units for 3 years and is now back in touch with his family. Joe’s sister and niece visit him and they enjoy walking on the nearby beach.
